The changing of the seasons is a poignant reminder to those that they live in a temperate climate. It also brings about renewal and cleansing whether it be in the streets or in its residence. The cigarette butts and dog shit accumulated through the winter are unveiled as snow melts from white to grey to yellow to gone. Sins flow down the curb line into the drains to be taken to water treatment facilities and into our streams. Streams lead to lakes and forth into seas, concurrently back into us. The women don their blouses and sun dresses, while the men slip on their berkinstocks and squeeze into the floral Tommy Bahama button up they purchased in a past life. The cold weather led to weight gain and a growing self consciousness. This’ll be the year.
One eye waters profusely as the first airborne particulates sent by weeds enter orally and dermally.
